[IRL] It's finally done! Plans being made

The HELOC papers were signed today. The house will legally belong to myself and one of my mates in three days. Months of worry about having a place to live are finally off our shoulders, and I'm already trying to work on plans for getting what we need to lower the bills...especially after a nearly $200 USD gas bill for only having a gas heater (no working water heater at the moment, and we wanna make it electric).

Given we only have window units for aircon, not much I can do there outside of renewable energy. We need to do a lot of work to seal the house, but that'll come over time, and help quite a bit. Solar panels are something I really wanna do, even if it's just for my personal room at first, cause rolling in the changes is still making those needed changes. Unless I run my mini space heater, my room usually maxes at about 250w of usage at any one time, with the heater putting it to 600W, so a decent ~300W panel set with a battery bank would probably handle it. My mates need much more power with their larger computing rigs (I use an old MacBook Pro, or my Dell laptop that sips power), so...that'll happen over time.

Still, this is so reliving to finally have the whole thing over. Maybe now I can get back to writing some actual stories again...and working on my website, which is in need of a re-theming. I'm thinking Frutiger Aro meets Pixel Art vibe. Just need to get some ideas down for how it'll look.
