Waiting Game

Today was...oddly productive. We need to get an Intent of Purchase contract set up and signed to give to the lenders, but once that's done, we're pretty much in the final stages of finishing this insane second half of 2025. The chances of something throwing us off are still there, but much lower than before. It's just a matter of making sure we keep things going for ourselves until the final decision happens, and that may be a few weeks out still.

This whole ordeal has been a trial, and I have to admit that part of it has inspired some ideas for a potential novel along the lines of Jessica Kara's "A Furry Faux Paw". Won't say much more, but I'll take any good I can out of this chaos.

I'm giving myself the rest of this month and all of January off from writing my short stories, and going to focus on some of my larger projects. Maybe even said novel idea. Not entirely sure yet. I missed out on Novel Month (insert challenge) again due to everything going on, and I was going to challenge myself for December if that happened again, but those plans went out the window at roughly warp 9 when the house stuff happened.

Oh yeah, I turned 40 on the 10th of December. Figured I should mention it somewhere in here.

Now, I intend to spend the night curled up somewhere with my laptop, listening to music and doing a little bit of gaming to let my mind de-stress a little before bed. Maybe I'll get more than an hour or so of unbroken sleep if I take that extra step.
